Frequently Asked Questions
NEED SOME HELP?
Ready to protect, your stairlift?
Extended Warranty - Terms of Contract
1. When does cover start?
Your Extended Warranty cover commences the day the stairlift manufacturer's warranty expires - twelve months from the date of installation.
2. What servicing is included?
We service and inspect your stairlift annually for the full term of the contract.
3. Do I get priority in a breakdown?
Yes - Extended Warranty customers are given priority in the event of a breakdown.
4. What's included in the cost?
All call outs, labour and spare parts are included within your Extended Warranty cover.
5. What isn't covered?
We are not responsible for repairs or parts required due to misuse, neglect, or damage caused to the stairlift by the owner or an associate during the term of the cover.
6. What if no fault is found on a callout?
If a breakdown is reported and no fault is detected, a call out charge will apply.
7. What happens if parts become unavailable?
We guarantee to repair your stairlift unless spare parts are unobtainable. If you take out a 3 or 5-year Extended Warranty within 60 days of installation, we guarantee a like-for-like replacement should parts become unavailable.
8. Can I transfer my warranty if I move house?
Extended Warranties are not transferable to new homeowners. If you move to a new property with a compatible staircase, we will continue your warranty and carry out the re-fitting at a reasonable cost to you.
9. Can I take out cover after the manufacturer's warranty expires?
No - Extended Warranties cannot be taken out once the manufacturer's warranty has expired.
10. What if my floor covering is replaced?
Removing and refitting your stairlift when floor coverings are replaced must be carried out by a Top Flight engineer, at the customer's expense, to avoid invalidating the warranty.
